Draw this Again!

So while i have no hope of actually winnning this is still wanted to enter (1st contest whoo!) This image is from 2008 ([link]) and i remember thinking it was pretty good at the time (obviously i posted it lol); it is also one of the earliest images i have on DA :3

I don't have time to color the newer version but i think you can still clearly see the improvement. Granted it would have been even better if i had used a reference but i didn't so i am pretty proud of how the new one came out! First time drawing the mane and tail like that as well Also sorry for the lines i used notebook paper (don't have anything else) and i tried to get rid of them but kinda failed..
