So I would really, really enjoy commissioning someone (or someones).
I would like to commission a couple things:

1. A couple images of my horse OCs
         -- Either Archi or Amor; your choice; pretty much free range (i'll give you a few ideas and limits if you are interested)
         -- Pay in points
2. A image of my dragon OC
        -- I would like you to do your own interpretation of this dragon fav.me/d5paw0w meaning that you keep with the basic 
            look and feel of the dragon but you are free to change details. I could explain more of this if you were interested
        -- I will happily pay points for this (the more realistic your artwork the more i'll pay). If you could do a nice sculpture I will pay
            you cash or points.

 

I really want the dragon done by someone with some realistic talent (it doesn't have to be super realistic just no cartoon look). and the horses I am super flexible with!  Please note I don't have a ton of points but I would just like to give back a bit to my watchers and anyone else and I thought this would be a fun way for everyone

I will be traveling to Ethiopia for next 5 weeks( in fact I'm in Frankfurt now) so don't expect me to be on DA as the Internet in addis abebe is spotty.

Does anyone else feel like no one talks to other people on DA?

..I dunno i mean i get watches and faves (yay! and thank you!) but not many people comment at all or PM. I am a friendly person i swear! haha I even opened a free for all question journal and i think one person asked me a question.

I dunno, i mean it's a community but not a super proactive one

_{I was inspired to write this after reading a few journals about peoples hate toward Valentines Day because they are single/it is "singles awareness day". BEWARE: Rant ahead!}

I have not had a valentine my entire 19 years. I won't have one this coming Vday either. I have had one boyfriend of 3 months and that is all; it was years ago at age 16. I am a tomboyish girl who likes video games, reading, art and being silly. I am shy and particularly so around boys i find attractive; not the typical type of girls boys just walk up to and ask out.

You know what though? I watch my friends (my bestie in particular) go through boyfriends and keep long-term ones for as long as two years and i notice that each relationship they learn about themselves; things they didn't know before because they constantly have another person in their life. I, however, know that stuff about myself. I have taken this relationshipless time to learn about myself so that my next relationship can be as long as possible. I know that because i know about myself, it will be a much more successful relationship. You know why this is? Simple:

Your relationship will never be happy unless you can be happy with yourself. Never.

Maybe i'm ranting here but i feel strongly about this.. If you can not be happy by yourself (i.e. without a significant other in your life) they your relationship will never be good; because you should never need anouther person to make you happy. Another person should balance and enhance your life; not complete it.

This is not to say that I or other people that are without a significant other never get lonely or jealous: we most defintely do! We are humans and humans are social creatures! Watching friends be cutesy and coupley can be very hard and emotionally difficult. This is the point where you say "hey could you, as my friend, tone it down a bit for a little while?" or remove yourself from the situation. Let's be honest here: when you get a relationship you are happy and will want your friends to be happy for you; can you not be happy for them? It is hard and i'm not saying it's not but a good chat with your friends about how you feel can not only help a ton, but also help them understand where you're coming from when you grump about Vday.

I guess what i'm saying is that while it is ok to be sad on Vday and even dissapointed that you don't have that relationship there are also other ways to view it. Maybe go out with another single friend? Make it a friend day! (i have done this ^^) or think about your lack of relationship time as a time to learn about and improve yourself so that your next relationship can be longer and more fruitful than the previous!
